Subjectimundos

So i put in all my subjects that i would like to get ( Art , Music & Business) && i got all of them for 5th year :) I have never done Music or business before but hopefully i will get the hand of it cus i love music and i would like to have something to do with promotional and marketing work so i took business :) hopefully all goes well , Yous will never find out how it goes but i will probs make a 5th year blog if i get the time :)

Back

Im back to school finaly , but the day i get back i had to get my final cervical cancer vacine , it wasnt that bad , only sore fora few seconds , i got it round 30 mins ago but its all good now (: Came back today (thursday) Not going to school tomorrow because the girls are going swimming but i cant cus im still sore .. but after easter holidays i will be in top shape :D another 2 weeks off school and to be honost Im not really excited cus ive been out for so long , but hopefully there will be alot of memories made , & i will be hanging round with a new friends this easter that i have made in Ty :) so hopefully i will have a great time , i think i was just bored at home fora month because i didnt have anyone really to hang round ,well apart from Aicha my bmaaa and Lj , who came to visit me over the month ( : Bebhinnnnnnn ( - :

Long time

I havnt been blogging for ages because I got an operation and havnt been doing anything to blog about apart from lying in bed watching tele and on the laptop .

I never thought I would hear myself saying this but I really miss going to school ... School is something that you would look forward to going into each morning cus im in Ty and its just fun all the time , I have been out for 2 week now and the time is tragging out it feels like forever , i have missed out on sooo much , like work experience ... The " but you didnt play " which i starred in but i was replaced by Niamh which is cool cus Niamh is a good actor ha .. I missed out Lá Glas(Green day) which is always a really good say no matter what year your in , I saw all the pictures though Mrs.L Chloe and Ruth dressed up as pilots to the Ty aer lingus Aeroplane , And the rest of the students in TY were the passengers. TY also made pancakes last Tuesday for pancake tuesday even though it was the week before but they decided to do then .. It seems like im missing out on the great memories :/

On Thursday aswell I think that all the year ar going to a museum on remains that where found in the bogs in Ireland i think , Ruth said that her grandads boot is in the museum haa .

There is also going to be a Percussion work shop which i would of really like to go too cus i love everything percussion butttt i cantt :(

Seems like everyones having a great time by looking at everyones blogs and pictures :D

Techology

Well for a while we have been making loads things in tech .
We made the keyring which was pretty easy to make and wasn't much of a task ,
After that we made a clock , it was much harder than making the keyring.
We had to draw out what the clock will look like with accurate measurements using rulers a deviders and loads .After we did the measurements we had to saw and file the piece down and then we had to melt it to bend it so that it could stand , after that we had to put our own design in the centre of the clock so i made a GREEN packman :D How original hahah , and then instead of putting numbers on it i put cherrys on it :) Its Looks good :)
Now where making key holders , they are in the shape of a key and we had to drill holes in it so that we can put hooks in it so that we can hang the keys on it ,
My snapped :/ but its okay cut im going to glue it back together when i have finished filing it down :)

movement

today in school Ian came in again to help us with what movements we were ment to do on stage for our drama , unfortunately we got there late so he couldn't help us with our play but we did pick up a few good points on how to own the stage when acting.
he showed us how to do throw a punch with out actually coming in contact with the other actor...
And he showed us how to take up a stage and how to walk on and off stage .
I learned a good bit :D

Oisín McGann

Yesterday a illustrator/author came into our school ,
His name was Oisín , he was very funny and new how to capture our attention !:)
He looked at Laurens shoe and made up a story about it straight away .
It was about a shoe that likes to eat feet , it was really funny/scary/good :D
He read out parts of his books ,They where very good , Miss B gave me a book to read that was written by Oisín .
Im going to start reading it soon :)
He drew a picture from one of his books , he did it really quick , it is v.talented :D
He gave it too our school :)

Croke Park

On Valentines day all the TYs went to croke park , I thought we were just going to the museum but we got to see everything .

We went under the Hogan stand and the Cusack stand & we also got to go into the changing rooms , they are really nice & most sports home changing rooms are bigger than the away changing rooms but in the GAA the changing rooms are the same which shows equality :D

We also got to go to the real top of the seats in the stadium , its sooooo high up!

After that we went to the "best kept secret" as the tour guide said , It was the lovely lounge that all the teams went to celebrate or comiserate after a match .

It was lovely! There was a lovely light made from waterford crystal and there was crystal footballs and sliotars , there was 32 footballs to represent the counties in Ireland . There is the picture of it >

It changes colours depending on what counties where playing :)

After that we went to the actual museum where there was trophies and medals that where won in previous matches . There was also games that you could play in the museum , there was one that measured the speed that you hit the ball , i got 72/KpH !

It was a great day and i enjoyed it allot :)

Careers inserest test

Today in Careers mister C told us to go on a website called www.pathfinderlive.co.uk . It asked us hundreds of questions about loads of jobs , The questions where like "would you like to help special needs children to play sports" and "would you like to improve machinary " .
I found out that I have an interest in being a couciller and working with people .
But i also found out that I am interested in Montissori teaching , It was correct :) I want to do that when I leave school cus i love to work with kids :)
And also that I am interested in being a musician , Which i am :)
I would love to be a drum teacher or in a band as a hobby !

Movement Workshop

Today we spent an hour on a movement workshop ,
It was really fun, we did loads of actifities .
The workshop was to get us moving for our drama :)
The guys name was Ian ,
He helped us to get moving and we had to do poses ,
My pose was me with my legs straight up in the air :) ha
It was funny ,

Enchiladas

Myself and Niamh Made enchiladas in Home ec today as part of our project on the country Mexico.

They turned out great and they werent hard to make at all , I got the recipe from this site http://mexican.betterrecipes.com

It is a very good site and is easy to follow ,

The enchiladas where yummy and I will definatly be making them at home for my family

Niamh and I are still to pick what Mexican dish we should cook next time :)

Technology

Yesterday in Technology we started sawing our clock , I finished sawing all the plastic around the clock and now all i have to do it file down the plastic that sticks out around it and i must melt the bits to make look more like a clock and put the hands on it .

Mini company - Orla

Today , A women called orla came in to talk to us about our mini company , she comes into us every once in a while to tell us what else we should do regarding our mini company ,
she told us that our bracelets where fab and that our idea to raise money for "Action Breast cancer" was a great idea And that our promotional ideas are great , she told us that we should do more advertisement on the breast cancer badges and bracelets ,
She said that we will make great money as it is such a popular market .

Mullingar

On tuesday all the ty students went to Mullingar to preform our plays that we have been practicing for ages.
it took around a hour to get there, The bus trip was fun on the way over.
When we got there we all had to get dressed into our contumes , i was dressed up as John , one of the main roles ...
Class Emnets play went first and the the other play in our class went second, They where really good and the ejudicator told them what they liked about the play and complemented them on there acting ability .
When it was our turn to go evey one got real nervous ha ,
It was pitch black back stage so when I got dressed for every scene i couldnt see nothing , I put my shirt on inside out by a mistake , but luckly nobody seemed to notice  :)
It was and overall great day , hope we get through to the finals :)

Mini Company

Yesterday we put up posters for our beaded bracelet company "beady bits" around the school .
Today we set up a table during lunch and put all our bracelets and breast cancer badges on it and a few people bought them , we are doing the same tomorrow , i'd say loads of people will buy them because around 10 people reserved them .
Hope we do well .

Back to school

#Back to school after the Christmas Holidays :)
Have to say I missed ty
We have done alot since we came back ,
we went to the young scientist compititon , We saw all the project including the one that the girls in our class done , they got a " highly recommended By the judges" award ,
And there was loads of free stuff to get there , i enjoyed it , it was real fun.
Yesterday we made spaghetti in Home ec and It went great , I was cooking with Niamh Mc .
A Girl in my classes spaghetti went on fire hahaha , i think its cus she never did Home ec before ha.
Good week so far , Parent teacher meeting tomorrow , Hope i do well ,
